visit www.utsc-studentlife.ca The First Year Experience Program The First year Experience Program (FEP) was created to promote small-group engagement, academic support and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and support. The program aims to assist first year students with their social transition to UofT Scarborough, and allows students to build community with other students on campus. The program matches first year students with a student mentor and a group of 4-5 first year students during the fall semester. With guidance and coaching from their mentor, students have the opportunity to learn about university life, benefit from valuable leadership development workshops, and participate in on or off campus activities with their mentoring group. Mentors and Mentee's Wanted! Each year, we select dedicated, well-rounded students to mentor first year students during the academic year. Student Mentors play an essential role in supporting first year mentees, referring them to valuable support services, taking part in activities and events, and sharing their own personal insight and experiences. Develop valuable skills and experience while making a difference within the UofT Scarborough community! Application forms are available during the winter semester.
